The event focused on activity of the regional offices of parliament members in their constituencies and the existing parliamentary mechanisms providing for the citizens’ participation in the decision-making process.

Parliament places special attention to such events designed to inform young people and civil society organizations at a local level in order to enhance transparency and information exchange as element of stronger bilateral cooperation.

The meeting was welcomed by young activists and representatives of civil society organizations that operate in Gjirokaster district, with participants highlighting opportunities for young people to become active in youth policies, as well as to promote cultural heritage and tourism.

These interactive forums are organized through support of the OSCE Presence in Albania.
