TIRANA, February 19 /ATA/ The Supreme Court rejected the request of the former general prosecutor Adriatik Llalla that the Court of Tirana deals with the case against him.

Former chief prosecutor Llalla asked the Supreme Court that Tirana Court considers his case, but this request was rejected. The review of the case against the former chief prosecutor Llalla will now be conducted by the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime.

In December last year, the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime ruled to sequestrate 5 properties of the former chief prosecutor. The decision was taken at the request of SPAK, which is investigating the former chief prosecutor for the legitimasy of property, under the anti-mafia law. Llalla has been taken as a defendant for non-declaration and concealment of assets, and will henceforth be investigated by the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime. /j.p/r.e/p.s./
