Prof. Assoc. Dr. Enkeleida Kapia was evaluated for the scientific study “Northern Toskërishtja (Southern dialect of Albanian): Illustration according to principles of the International Phonetic Alphabet”.

For this study, Kapia had as co-authors of the study: Stefano Coretta (University of Edinburgh), Josiane Riverin-Coutlee (Ludwig Maximillan University of Munich) and Stephen Nichols (University of Oxford).

The first prize goes to the authors for the contemporary methodology used in the study, in interaction with the traditional ways of illustration and detailed explanation of the sounds and intonation system of the Northern Toskërishtja. The evaluation was made according to the “peer review” principles of the jury members, consisting of linguists and phoneticians from all over the world./r.e/p.s./
