Malaj responded to the claims of the Democratic Party MP Bujar Leskaj for an increase of the public debt.

According to Leskaj, the public debt in 2013 was 883 billion ALL, while today it has reached 1.4 trillion ALL, or 1.6 times higher.

But, Malaj argued that the public debt is calculated in relation to the Gross Domestic Product and that in 2013 the public debt was over 70% of the GDP, while in 2015 it would decrease to 55.8%.

“At present, the public debt is 14% lower,” stated Malaj. /j.p/p.s./
