TIRANA, May 1 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama highlighted his Socialist Party’s leadership of independent justice reform in Albania, saying it was this political force that turned the phrase “equality before the law” from a slogan into a reality.

Addressing a campaign meeting in the town of Kuçova, the government head focused on Albania’s justice system progress in recent years.

The Socialist leader Rama derided the opposition for claiming that the ruling Socialists do not deserve a fourth consecutive term.

“One of the claims of the swamp and other marshes around it is that we don’t deserve a fourth term, since half of the cabinet members are imprisoned. This is not true. It is true that it was SP that delivered on the justice system reform and it is for the first time that Albanian citizens see influential people, politicians and high-level official be questioned by an independent prosecutor and be held accountable and be sentenced by an independent judge,” PM Rama said.

“For the first time ever, a political force like ours handed over the sword and removed its hands from the justice system, turning the phrase equality before law from a slogan into a fact,” Rama said.

“Today’s High Court decision is another step towards doing delayed justice about DP leadership issue,” DP said in its statement.

TIRANA, May 29 /ATA/–By I. Vata/ – The Democratic Party’s candidate for the party’s leadership Agron Shehaj said at a meeting with his supporters in the coastal city of Durres on Saturday that the main opposition party should “acknowledge the truth and not pretend as if nothing has happened after the election defeat on April 25.”

“DP primarily needs for the truth to be said openly. We can’t keep lying to ourselves and pretend as if we don’t figure out the problems and fail to tackle them properly,” Shehaj said in his remarks.

He stated that the largest opposition party needs to reform and modernize if it wants to win the next local and parliamentary elections.

“The current leadership of the Democratic Party is trying to overcome the election defeat as it nothing has happened. The party’s leadership is considering normal the fact that the Democrats are in opposition for 12 consecutive years. I am convinced that if we don’t change anything, we will suffer another defeat in the next elections,” he stated.

TIRANA, May 21/ATA/The new Academy of Leadership will be open for registration of its new students in July of the current year.

While sharing the news on the Facebook, Prime Minister Edi Rama said, “In July, we will open the registrations of the New Leadership Academy for ambitious, challenging, stubborn girls and boys. Young people who want to read and know how to speak, yes and listen. Dissatisfied with how things are going around, but also with themselves, individuals who want to be trained in groups, to develop their communication and decision-making skills “, said Rama.

“For everyone who finds himself in these lines, who is not less than 16 years old and more than 26 years old, and who wants to try his hand at a place in the New Leadership Academy, this is the address: https: //liderakademi.al/ ”, Rama emphasized.

“There can be a lot of applications, but there are few places. Therefore whoever applies should keep in mind that he is more likely to lose than to win! But who wants to and at the same time hesitates, let’s read these words of Michael Jordan: “I lost more than 9000 shots and almost 300 games. I missed the 26th victory shot from the early days I was trusted. In my life, I have failed time and time again. “And that is why I managed to succeed”, Rama underlined. /j.p/r.e/p.s./
