TIRANA, Feb 26 /ATA/ -By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama remarked today that the collapse of the Librazhd–Prrenjas road ultimately has been caused by geological factors, a phenomenon that has also affected infrastructure in other developed nations.

During the meeting of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, Prime Minister Rama emphasized that one of the largest infrastructure projects is being implemented along that route, which he described as another source of pride for this government.

“For several days now, there has been considerable uproar regarding the landslide on the Librazhd–Prrenjas road axis. A landslide even more dramatic has occurred on the other side of the border, affecting one of Greece’s newest highways. Yet the Greek trash media, which are not unfamiliar with such ‘pressure,’ have not reacted,” Rama stated.

The Prime Minister also drew attention to the landslide on the Korçë–Ersekë road, which, according to him, was repaired within the deadline using the contractor’s funds.

“Today the road belongs to the Albanian people, even though something occurred that should not have happened. But these are not issues that occur nowhere else and only here. The only difference is that in Portugal, Italy, or Greece they are considered incidents caused by geological factors, whereas here they are matters of corruption,” Rama stated.
