TIRANA, Nov 13 /ATA/ Legalization process within urban area has completed in the municipality of Pustec, which lies along Lake Prespa,.

The State Cadastre Agency, after a long preparatory work in cooperation with the Municipality of Pustec, managed to separate and specify the boundary lines of the constituent villages of the municipality, thus paving the way for legalization process within the villages.

Given that this municipality is home to protected areas, Pustec remained the only municipality in the Republic where the legalization process was not yet started.

The General Director of Cadastre Agency, Artan Lame, accompanied by the Mayor of Pustec Pali Kolefski and the local director of ASHK Korça, Besa Spaho were in Pustenc to announce the timely completion of the legalization process within the urban area of the Municipality .

Director Lame also explained why the legalization process in this area had not moved ahead.

“Here in Pustec, I come for the first time as the director of the Cadastre Agency. I had a hard time doing it, because during eight years under Berisha and this government, no legalization was done here. The reason was the lack of specifications and separation of protected areas from the urban areas of Prespa Park. “Now that together with the municipality this deadlock was broken, we managed to complete the legalization process for 160 informal buildings located within the yellow line in record time,” – said Lame.

Lame said that “The Open Balkan is also advanced by such works that kickstart the economy of minority areas and help integrate border areas.”

The Director of State Cadastre Agency said that the challenge and priority for this area in the future will be the registration of agricultural land and old buildings.
