TIRANA, April 1 /ATA/ Only two months away from the State Matura exams, the Minister of Education and Sports, Evis Kushi stopped in Vlora for a conversation with the high school leavers on the novelties in this upcoming matura as well as listened to opinions and suggestions by students and their teachers.

The minister, among other things, underlined that every novelty and every decision made about the Matura for this year is in the interest of the graduates, since all the novelties for this year such as the re-evaluation of the test, the exams in large halls, the online exam for those who want to study General Medicine, all are introduced to promote meritocracy, transparency and a fairer process of the State Matura exams.

“I guarantee you only this, that every decisiontaking is in your best interests. The prior generations had pushed for reevaluation of the test. Despite the fact that mistakes were very rare in the assessment process, we deemed that this is a right that you should be guaranteed,” said the minister.

Kushi asked the graduates to consider the possibility of studying in Albania, especially in one of the programs designated as national priority, in order to benefit a monthly scholarship equal to the minimum wage, thus easing the financial burden on their families during their studies.
