TIRANA, June 1/ATA/ Head of the European Union Delegation in Albania, Ambassador Luigi Soreca was today in Kurbin together with Prime Minister Edi Rama.

There they inspected the works in the schools “Gjokë Elezi” and “Demokracia”, which are being rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of November 26, thanks to funding from the European Union.

“Today, we are in Kurbin with the Prime Minister as well as our friends from UNDP and UN Coordinator in Albania to visit these schools, which are being rebuilt thanks to the EU-funded program called EU for schools,” said Soreca.

He stressed that, “There are 75 million Euros for more than 60 schools and it is all these funds that have been donated by the European Commission”.

“Today, we came to the second school, which is being built from the beginning and we were assessing exactly the quality of construction after the latest technology and this is the EU solidarity with Albania, in concrete form through these funds that have been donated to more than 25 thousand students of 9-year and high schools “, said Soreca. /j.p/p.s./
