PRISHTINA, July 15 /ATA/ – The United States Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier, voiced Monday concerns shared by the U.S. and its partners regarding certain political decisions made by the government of Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

According to the U.S. diplomat, some of Kurti government decisions hinder Kosovo’s progress.

“The U.S. remains deeply and strongly committed to Kosovo,” Hovenier said at a press conference when asked by reporters about the relations between the United States and the Kosovo government after a visit to the city of Gjakova.

“However, this doesn’t imply that we agree on every solution and decision made by the government of Kosovo. The U.S. administration and some partners we are working with, namely the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and the European Union are concerned about some political solutions made by Kurti government, which hinder progress,” Hovenier said.
