Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, inspected on Monday this landfill, emphasizing that “this investment not only reduces pollution, but also improves the landscape improving the standards of tourism service in the area.”

“Waste management is the responsibility of municipalities, keeping the environment clean is the task of each one of us,” said Kumbaro.

Minister Kumbaro praised the work done by the municipality of Skrapar for waste management.

According to minister, there is a long road to go when it comes to waste management.

“We will win the battle with pollution only when the mindset and education of sorting out at source are instilled,” said Kumbaro, adding that we must reduce the volume of waste, but this will take a lot of work with citizens.
