Mirela Kumbaro, Minister of Tourism and Environment, posted a promotional video on social media today highlighting Albania’s participation in the fair, set to take place from January 22 to 26.

Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, remarked, “We are ready for ‘Fitur 2025.’ We are presenting Albania as a top tourist destination at the major global tourism fair in Madrid, a tradition we uphold, but always with a new image, fresh emotions, and unique experiences that our country, with its wild nature and welcoming spirit, offers.”

“Beautiful beaches, breath-taking peaks, rich biodiversity, water sports, and idyllic farms… from the moment the sun rises in the Alps until it sets in the Adriatic, Albania is full of sensations, flavors, and colors. This is how we will present our country to more than 9,000 exhibitors at this fair, during high-level meetings and to the attendees of Fitur 2025, which begins tomorrow,” said Kumbaro.

Under the slogan “Albania, all senses,” Albania aims to attract visitors by showcasing positive and sustainable tourism practices that promote natural tourism destinations, local producers, ancient traditions, artisanal products, and heartfelt hospitality.

Albania also participated in last year’s “Fitur” fair in Madrid, attracting thousands of visitors to its stand, many of whom expressed a keen interest in visiting the country.

In a post on social media, Kumbaro said that “Spain and Portugal are two leading countries of world tourism, which are also coming to Albania with the excellence of five-star hotels such as Melia.”

Kumbaro announced that in January Albania will participate in the FITUR Tourism Fair of Madrid for a decent promotion, focusing on the South American markets.

At the meeting of the Commission for Europe of the World Tourism Organization, where Albania officially took over the organization of this event in 2024, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, presented the main data for 2023.

“Albania ranks first in Europe for tourist flows, with +56% compared to 2019 and third in the world for the increase in tourism income with +77% compared to the pre-pandemic period”, said Kumbaro.
