The meeting held in Përmet with representatives of several local businesses touched on issues of high importance to them, especially the post-pandemic recovery.

“The good news is that the launch of mass vaccination in Albania will accelerate the return of economic life especially of tourism to normality. Also, from this year, small businesses will be exempt from profit tax and VAT, an unprecedented support compared to any other country in the region. For us, business is an extremely important partner for economic development. Business creates new jobs, therefore every incentive for enterprises is a new opportunity for the economy, ” Çuçi said.

He also had a meeting with some shepherds in the “Gërhot” neighborhood who make an important contribution to dairy output of Gjirokastra.

“As Minister of Agriculture, I am proud that I implemented a reform of the State Veterinary Service dedicating 80% of the fund earmarked for subsidies in agriculture to livestock. We have also provided free registration and vaccination for livestock across the country, ” Çuçi says.
