TIRANA, Jan 9 /ATA/ The National Agency of Protected Areas has launched the “Environmental Education” program in schools to raise awareness and educate young generations about the environment.

Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, in a post on social media said that the National Protected Area Agency experts are informing and nourishing love for ecosystems, biodiversity, lagoons, parks and teaching the best practices to take care of them.

“Environmental awareness is not done by snapping fingers, but by education, then by education and finally by education. These are not results that are seen overnight, yet we have begun to instill in children concepts such as recycling, reuse, composting, healthy coexistence with flora and fauna,” emphasized Kumbaro.

Minister Kumbaro said that “NPAA has conducted 371 informative classes in 2022.”

According to her, more environmental education activities are set to be organized this year.

This program is expected to increase environmental awareness of the young generation in the community.
