Director of the agency Sulejman Kullolli stated that, “Once the verification and full identification of the damages is completed, there will be taken a decision on the compensation of the damages.”

According to him, so far the following have been identified: 13 burnt cattle; 262 sheep and goats; 7 horses; 1 pig; 90 fowls; 7 burnt stables and 747 destroyed beehives.

The most affected areas are Skënderbegës Municipal Unit (Gramsh) and Delvinë Municipality, where the fires have been more intense and have lasted longer.

Kullolli said that the teams are also burying the dead animals and disinfecting the affected areas, to avoid the spread of any possible disease.

He called for the local residents’ cooperation in reporting any damage, so that the compensation process is as fair and complete as possible. /e.xh//a.f/p.s./
