The Albania’s Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu shared today on the social media images from the reconstruction works on Kukës Regional Hospital going ahead at a fast pace.

The difficult weather conditions and the unusual situation of the pandemic, have not stopped the work on the transformation of the Regional Hospital of Kukës where the new maternity hospital is being built.

“Investments will continue from north to south, to build the health we want,” Minister Manastirliu said.

The construction of the Kukës Regional Hospital will go through two phases while the investment totals 3 million euros. The first phase includes the construction of the Emergency Ward, the rehabilitation of the former Emergency Ward which will be transformed into the Maternity unit and 3 new Surgery rooms with all relevant equipment.

No investment has been made in the old hospital building since 1947. //a.i/
