PRISTINA, Aug 24 /ATA/ Today’s session for the constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo began with the vote for the deputy and acting Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, who once again did not receive the votes needed to become Speaker of the Assembly.

He received 55 votes in favor, 46 against, and 5 abstentions.

After the failure, Murati proposed the acting Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, arguing that she is an exceptional minister in the field of education.

Despite being nominated, Arbërie Nagavci failed to secure the position of Speaker of the Assembly, garnering 55 votes in favour, 47 against, and four abstentions.

Nagavci put forward Vetëvendosje (Self-Determination) parliamentarian Dimal Basha as a candidate for Speaker of the Assembly, citing his strong sense of responsibility toward the citizens as the reason for his nomination.

Although the vote count for Basha differed from the previous candidates, he still did not pass. He received 57 votes in favor, 25 against, and 24 abstentions.

Due to yet another failed attempt to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo, the session has been postponed to August 26 at 11:00 AM. /Kosovapress/sm/
