PRISHTINA, Aug 19 /ATA/ – The constitutive session of Kosovo’s new Parliament is expected to resume on Wednesday, according to sources cited by the KosovaPress news agency.

Although the Assembly has yet to issue an official announcement, lawmakers are expected to convene at 11:00 a.m.

The resumption follows Monday’s publication of a Constitutional Court ruling aimed at resolving the ongoing political deadlock.

The ruling states that Parliament must be constituted within 30 days, and that the vote for the Speaker of Parliament can be held no more than three times.

The governing party Vetëvendosje (Self-Determination), which won the February 9 elections, criticized the ruling as arbitrary and undemocratic. Other political parties welcomed the Court’s decision.
