Described as one of the most beautiful areas in the Kukes region and the north of Albania, this park lies at an altitude of over 1300 meters above sea level and is home to all natural beauties and breathtaking landscapes.

The director of the Administration of Protected Areas in Kukës, Lefter Gjana, told ATA on Sunday that “from January to December 2023, the park was visited by 56,501 tourists, of whom 24,526 were local and 36,825 were foreigners.”

“The year 2023 has recorded an increase in visitors to this park all year round. The most visited spots continue to be the Trail of Colors, as well as the “Brekija-Tršenë-Skalla keqe trail.”

Gjana said that “a great job has been done in recent years for marking the trails for the orientation of the many tourists who visit this park.”

Korab-Koritnik Park is home to 25 natural monuments (the third category of protected areas in Albania). The peak of Mount Korab, the highest in Albania, offers rare beauties. In addition to it, there are other mountain ridges, with limestone and gypsum formations, covered with herbaceous plants and alpine pastures, with different types of fragrant flowers during spring and summer.

Cold water springs, natural lakes, snow-covered mountain tops, offer great opportunities to get immersed in mountain tourism, winter and summer.
