TIRANA, September 27 /ATA/ The socialist member of the Foreign Policy Committee in the Parliament Petro Koçi asked for the reaction of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) regarding the decision of Serbia which announced three days of mourning for the perpetrators of the terrorist act who were killed on Sunday during the attack they launched in Kosovo.

The Socialist MP said that the announcement of days of mourning by Belgrade implies the full acceptance of responsibility for the authorship of the terrorist act.

“The declaration of mourning in Belgrade implies formal acceptance of responsibility for the terrorist act of the armed gang. It confirms that the power in the political capital of the Serbs is held by the oligarchy that executed Zoran Djindjic and that appointed Vucic at the head,” Koçi wrote.

According to him, “Europe seems to be still afraid of pro-Russian Serbs and continues the pampering policy. The Albanians, and in particular Kosovo, are the first and most determined in the trenches against the Russian-Serbian game in the region. It is time for NATO to react with more determination and reinforcement through KFOR. Serbia and the Serbs must be forced to understand that they will have no chance to threaten the peace in the region and the territorial and institutional integrity of Kosovo,” Koçi emphasized.

“By eliminating the terrorist group, Kosovo police did not only honored the dignity of Kosovo, but also saved the honor of the Euro-Atlantic community. Bunjaku is not only a martyr of Kosovo and Albanian patriotism, but also of Euro-Atlantic stance”, MP Petro Koçi concluded his reaction./p.s./

TIRANA, July 16 /ATA/- Socialist Party MP Petro Koçi called on SPAK, the Special Anti-Corruption Structure, to act even in Fier region to fight crime and corruption.

Koçi said that, “SPAK and Justice Reform are yielding results. The world of crime and the corrupted people have begun to be afraid of the law.”

“We would like to see these effects even in Fier where the hands of crime are extended on public finances. The protagonists of drugs trafficking and violence have already legalized business entities that win public tenders. They achieve this either through direct connections with heads of institutions or through the threat of certain officials who execute procurements as well as through the elimination of competitors in the tendering process by threatening the owners of business entities”, he said.

Koçi also said that the law enforcement bodies should not allow the city of Fier to be overrun the world of organized crime.

“Empowered especially through money laundering in the construction industry, they continue to appropriate colossal profits from our taxes. Law enforcement agencies should not allow our city to be overrun by the world of organized crime,” he said./p.s./

TIRANA, March 24/ATA/- Meta and Berisha are a danger to the state, SP candidate in Fier, Petro Koçi stated on Wednesday, while emphasizing that, the Socialist Party objective is to secure 11 parliamentary seats in Fier region.

In his remarks Koçi noted that, the Socialist Party is a guarantee of the social stability and integration of the country.

In a televised interview, Koçi said that, the Socialist Party deserves a third term because its government has successfully faced all the objectives it has undertaken in two terms over the past 8 years. It has successfully faced challenges, such as; earthquake and then the pandemic, an ongoing global infection.

“The Rama government has shown spirit of work, determination to move forward with important reforms, such as the Justice Reform. The Vetting process dismissed dozens of corrupt prosecutors and judges who were caught red-handed taking millions of euros unjustified. The Rama government has a good international reputation. The merit of this government is the act of the solidarity during the earthquake of November 26, 2019, as well the vaccination campaign.” Koçi added. //a.i/
