“KLA is the foundation of Kosovo’s freedom,” Begaj wrote on social media, sharing moments from the square filled with citizens from Albanian-speaking regions, the diaspora, and across the country.
He added that the KLA is a source of pride in our national history.

“No one can undo this legacy of bravery, sacrifice, and heroism,” the President affirmed.
Today’s protest in Tirana, organized by KLA veterans, marks the third such event this year supporting the former KLA leaders.

Since April 3, 2023, the Special Tribunal in The Hague has been hearing the case against former President Hashim Thaçi, former parliament speakers Kadri Veseli and Jakup Krasniqi, and former deputy Rexhep Selimi. They are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, allegations that all four have denied.
