Albania has signed several agreements on mutual recognition of driving licenses.

Recognition of driving licenses, mainly in European Union countries, is a constant requirement of Albanian citizens, who currently have to obtain an international license in order to avoid being penalized.

The agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses between Albania and Italy was recently signed and is expected to enter into force on July 12.//a.i/
