Albanian President Bajram Begaj, the Assembly Speaker Lindita Nikolla, the Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, other cabinet members, lawmakers, Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj and other public life personalities attended the ceremony.

“We are here today to mark this special moment for King Charles. But this event is also about celebrating the strength of relations between the UK and Albania, and the links between our people,” British Ambassador said.

“It is an honour to celebrate His Majesty The King’s birthday in Tirana and to cherish the strong relations between UK and Albania. Most importantly, the British Monarchy is about continuity and stability. It is a rare constant in our lives at times of such change. King Charles is a figurehead for Britain who rises above party politics and brings us together. Just last week, it was an honour for me to have an audience with the King and discuss with him how important Albania is to the UK,” he said.
