TIRANA, Oct 17 /ATA/ – Tirana is hosting the 2025 Albania-Türkiye Investment Forum on Friday, one of the most significant economic events of the year, organized by the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) in cooperation with MÜSİAD Albania at the Palace of Congresses.

The high-level forum is expected to bring together over 1,500 participants from both countries, including senior government officials, investors, entrepreneurs, and economic development stakeholders, aiming to boost bilateral cooperation and encourage mutual investments.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz are expected to attend the opening ceremony, along with ministers and representatives from both public and private institutions.

The event will focus on four strategic sectors with high growth potential: construction, information and communication technology (ICT), tourism, and agriculture, including the food industry.

The forum features thematic panels, interactive discussions, and direct business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings designed to foster concrete cooperation opportunities and experience-sharing between businesses and institutions.

Trade between Albania and Türkiye has intensified in recent years. In 2024, Albanian imports from Türkiye rose by 14% to 96.6 billion lek, while exports to Türkiye reached 4.8 billion lek. In the first seven months of 2025, imports stood at 50.8 billion lek, with exports totaling 2.7 billion lek.

Currently, 658 Turkish-owned companies operate in Albania, along with 80 joint ventures, spanning nearly all regions of the country. Tirana hosts the highest concentration of these businesses, with 82% based in the capital, followed by Durrës (6%) and Fier (3%).

The growing presence of Turkish enterprises reflects a rising interest in the Albanian market and continues to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries.
