During his speech on occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party in Fier, Rama said that, “We are bringing even more transformative investments to Albania. They treat Albania like their own private estate”, said Rama.

“Who are these people claiming ‘Albania is ours’ and demanding we step aside? The public speaks through the democratic system, and their voice is heard loud and clear on election day,” he continued.

When a citizen on social media urged the government to prioritize salaries, pensions, and inflation over the environment, the Prime Minister agreed that living conditions require urgent attention.

“But, we must ask ourselves: if we restrict foreign investment and skilled immigration, how do we stimulate wage growth?” said Rama, emphasizing the importance of investments and economic development. /e.i/j.p/p.s./

Established under a European Union social care initiative, the centre also offers after-school programmes and support services for residents of the Kavaja municipality.

Prime Minister Edi Rama on Sunday shared footage on social media highlighting activities at the centre, which aims to strengthen the role of women in society.

Kejsi Toska, a social coordinator at the TOK Centre, said the initiative responds to community needs. She said children attend after-school sessions for homework assistance and educational, creative and sports activities.

The centre also provides psycho-social counselling and positive parenting sessions, aimed at improving parent-child relationships and supporting families, Toska added.

Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro said today that Shkëmbi i Kavajës is one of the areas where is taken the action being one of the most frequented destinations on the Adriatic coast.

“The clearing of public spaces guarantees equal access for all holidaymakers and improves the quality of service,” said Kumbaro.

This process is part of a national policy to ensure clean, organized and open beaches for all, avoiding the unfair occupation of public space by private entities.

The controls and interventions on the ground are being carried out in cooperation with the State Police, National Inspectorate of Territory Protection and local structures. /r.e/p.s./

The minister said that cleaning of the beaches remains a challenge, while she declared zero tolerance towards occupation of public beaches.

“The beaches of Kavaja, together with the beaches of Durrës, are the most populated coastline area, whether with local holidaymakers, guests from Kosovo and more and more even foreign holidaymakers”, she said.

“However, it is important to have a break in the line of private beaches with public beaches. Also, the private beaches should respect a distance of about 7-8 meters from the sea for the citizens who wish to stay by the sea”, said Minister Kumbaro.

There are 73 public beaches along the entire coastline of Kavaja. Minister Kumbaro requested that the municipality should put the relevant signs in these public spaces. /m.m/j.p/p.s./

Berisha said that the DP has two points on top of its agenda if it comes to power.

“First, we will double the fund for the religious communities. Secondly, we will finally solve the property problem with absolute priority for religious institutions, but also for all Albanians”, he said.

For the first time in this hospital, there is opened the Rehabilitation Clinic for patients with chronic pulmonary diseases, as well as, after 6 years, the Intensive Care service equipped with new equipment.

“Here we are in fact in the Regional Hospital Center “Shefqet Ndroqi” Kavaja affiliated unit. It is the municipal hospital of Kavaja, which has joined the University Hospital “Shefqet Ndroqi” under one administration umbrella precisely to bring the excellence of health services as close as possible to the citizens”, said Minister Koçiu.

“We are currently carrying out a reconstruction of this building to improve the conditions and facilities of this hospital center”, said Koçiu.

“The special thing of this hospital is the fact that here there are doctors and nurses who serve in both hospitals, namely in the University Hospital “Shefqet Ndroqi” in Tirana and in the Kavaja affiliated unit”, said Koçiu.

The minister stated that this hospital offers services such as surgery, orthopedics, physiotherapy.

“There are doctors who come from the “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital here in Kavaja according to the planning of services. Thus, offering the opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise with the doctors who work here, in this hospital structure, but also by further improving the services offered in this hospital”, added Koçiu.

Koçiu emphasized that, “This hospital serves both the municipalities of Kavaja and Rrogozhina. There are somewhere around 120 thousand residents who receive services here and meanwhile the emergency service copes with a large influx”. /a.f/p.s./

Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro said that the cleaning teams of the National Coastal Agency and the municipality in Kavaja, in addition to the coast, also cleaned the forest and the lanes from Qerreti to the Mali i Robi roundabout.

“Besides the maximum commitment of the relevant institutions for cleaning, the increased flow of tourists also asks for the cooperation of the citizens, especially that of the businesses for taking refuse to trash collection points on schedule, so that we can successfully manage it until the end of the coastal tourist season”, said Kumbaro.

Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla together with the mayor of Kavaja went to the spot to closely follow the work of the forces engaged in the operation to put out the fire.

To avoid any dangerous situation, the State Police has meanwhile evacuated the local residents from several houses endangered by the flames.

“There is a fire situation; we have protected the houses in the northern part. The fire has a large perimeter, over 10 ha. We engaged about 50 fire-fighters from Kavaja as well as from Tirana, Kamza, Lushnja, Durrësi. Fortunately, no one is injured. In some cases, the wind has favored the flames”, informed the general director of the Fire Protection Service Arben Cara. /r.e/p.s./

Rama presented the candidate of the SP in Kavaja, the incumbent Mayor Redjan Krali, while he said that everyone sees what change has happened in this municipality.

“I remembered how Kavaja’s entrance was when we took office. It looked like a hotbed of despair, oblivion, ruin. So was all of Kavaja. And I also consider all the work, projects, efforts to start its big change”, said Rama.

The prime minister added that in Kavaja, unlike most municipalities, it happened that along the way Kavaja returned into the hands of those who in 30 years could not create a single example of how to take care of a municipality. And the prime minister pointed at the building permits that the Democratic Party representatives issued in violation of any law. The prime minister emphasized that in those years when they retook Kavaja, the municipality was placed at the disposal of a group that functioned as a gang of predators.
