The trial panel of the Special Appellate College, composed of Sokol Çomo presiding, Rezarta Schuetz rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Natasha Mulaj, Mimoza Tasi members, handed down the decision after the Public Commissioner appealed against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission on the subject of reevaluation Rilinda Selimi.

At the end of the trial, the panel, based on the law “On the transitional re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”unanimously decided to overturn the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission, on the subject of re-evaluation Rilinda Selimi and dismiss her from office.
In December 2020, the Independent Qualification Commission confirmed in office the subject of re-evaluation,
Rilinda Selimi, as a judge in the Administrative Court of Appeal in Tirana.

Rilinda Selimi started her career in the justice system in 2000 and worked for a decade as a judge in the Court of Fier. In 2010, Selimi was transferred to the Court of Tirana, while since 2013 she has been serving in the Administrative Court of Appeal.
