The trial panel of the Special Appellate College, after examining the evidence and facts, decided to uphold the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission, confirming the judge, Irena Gjoka.

The Independent Qualification Commission confirmed in office on 26.2.2020 Judge Irena Gjoka, a decision that was appealed by the Public Commissioner.

Irena Gjoka started her career in the justice system in 1993. For more than a decade, Gjoka worked as a judge in the First-Instance Court of Fier, while in 2014 she was appointed to the Court of Serious Crimes in Tirana. Since December 2019, she is part of the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime in Tirana.
