Rama said while visiting the Job and Skills Fair in Durrës that “the 63 largest businesses in the region advertise 1500 vacancies.”

The Prime Minister stressed that Albanian companies, from large business to small business demand certain skills in the face of recent developments in economy.

“Only in this square there are 63 employers, there is a demand for 1500 employees, while in the space outside this fair the regional employment directorate in Durrës has made available 600 other vacancies for unemployed job-seekers,” said Rama.

“Albania is being exposed in international market of exports and imports and added to that it has untapped potentials for tourism. That is why we as a government are committed to increasing opportunities for training, skills, communication with the private sector through ongoing training, while today we have a digital platform available and via online services of e-Albania it provides opportunities for all to be oriented in the field of vocational training, ” he added.

Prime Minister stressed that “in March 2022, according to the statistics of the Labor Registry, there are 13 thousand more employees than in March 2021.”

Rama said that currently there are about 20 thousand students in vocational schools, while 6600 unemployed jobseekers have attended vocational courses and a good part of them have been able to be employed.

“In Durrës, there is a desperate need for labor force in all positions, from basic level waiters to managers. The minimum wage in Albania continues to increase steadily. Employment opportunities in our country are expanding, so I encourage all those who need to be employed not to wait for the state to bring the work home, but to learn professional skills,” said Rama. /j.p/sm/
