The ruling was read on Tuesday in the counseling room, after the recourse of the Nika family and specifically of Aleks Nika’s wife, Rajmonda Nika, who during 2023 contested in several courts the decision of the special prosecutors who sent the case for investigation by the prosecution office of Tirana.

This decision of the senior judges means that the parties will be called in a session in two weeks time.

The relatives of Aleks Nika said that SPAK should focus also on the former minister of interior Lulzim Basha, former prime minister Sali Berisha and former National Guard commander Ndrea Prendi.

This stance of the Nika family, but also of the relatives of the other three killed on the boulevard, Hekuran Dedas, Ziver Veizit and Faik Myrtaj, was not accepted by SPAK with the conclusion that the case was being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana.

In November 2023, the Strasbourg Court announced the new ruling on Alex Nika, finding the failure to investigate and judge the assassination to be a violation. /r.e/p.s./

Minister of Finance Ervin Mete appreciated today that the economy developed positively even in January 2024.

“If compared to last year, the revenues have increased by 4 billion ALL, or about 8% more,” said Mete.

According to him, in January 2024 the revenues increased up to the amount of 54.35 billion ALL, if compared to the plan for the same period estimated at 54.01 billion ALL, but also if compared to January 2023, when there was recorded the amount of 50.35 billion ALL./p.s./
