In an online conversation with citizens about the January 21 tragedy, where four protesters were gunned down, Rama said that “if the criminals who pulled the trigger are not enough, one of the real culprits in those murders is on the podiums of that revolution that aims to take over SHQUP and the other one is behind the armored doors trying to keep the lock of SHQUP. ”

“To say that four people were killed because they should not have headed to the boulevard that day deserves no comment,” Rama said.

Prime Minister Rama emphasized that “today, on the 11th anniversary of January 21 tragedy, there are old reasons to be in low spirits, but there are also new reasons, I believe, to hold the head high up.”

“11 years ago 4 peaceful protesters who posed no risk were killed when the protest was scattering in four points very far from the building of special importance, the Prime Minister’s office. It is true that the protest degraded to some acts of setting fire, but far from the object of special importance. The prime minister’s office was not touched by anyone and was not touched by anything.”

“I believe that many people can remember that at that time it was fenced and looked like a big private villa of those former Soviet rich people and not like the palace of a democratic government. No protester jumped over that fence, no gasoline bottle, flamethrower, stone were hurled beyond that fence, towards the walls, and no fire burned the famous tree near the door since the first day that door was opened in first half of the last century. Nothing like what would randomly unfold later in front of this building when the political parties switched places, when the side behind the armored doors of SHQUP which is defended against the side that today attacks SHQUP were as one in their countless attacks on the Prime Minister’s office, ” Rama said.
