Mayor Veliaj announced a project aimed at enriching the Albanian school libraries in Montenegro through support from the educational institutions in Tirana.

“It was a pleasure that the Minister of Education and Innovation of Montenegro visited Tirana today. It is a coincidence that I will visit Podgorica tomorrow. I am also enthusiastic about your proposal to establish cooperation relations between several Albanian schools in Tuz and Ulqin with schools in Tirana. We have currently launched the process on construction of schools in Presheva and Bujanoc, and we are also constructing schools in Kharkiv, Ukraine. We would be very pleased to see Tirana schools assist Montenegro’s Albanian schools enriching their libraries,” Veliaj said.

During the meeting, Veliaj also highlighted the investment in the so-called Tirana’s Pyramid building that has been transformed into the largest digital technology centre in the Balkans and has set an example for the region.

Saying that her visit’s goal is to deepen Albania-Montenegro cooperation in education, Montenegro’s Education Minister Andjela Jaksic-Stojanovic and Tirana Mayor Veliaj also discussed other important cooperation projects.
