Prime Minister Rama, responding to the media, said that the attacks of pseudo-personalities are disgusting. Rama said that there are 80 people over 80 years old who will receive the jab today, among them about 20 personalities.

“As you saw today, we started the inoculation of the elderly with a group of 80 people in the morning, the elderly called up by family doctors. I am very sorry for the tempest in a teapot from some pseudo personalities who have access to portals and media outlets and in the most inhumane way create a completely unnecessary smokescreen, because first of all these people scheduled to receive the jab belong to the category of + 80 years and the fact that the vaccination starts with a very modest number of about 21 people is a very sincere and understandable expression of care for these people who should not wait to be separated from others to give speeches and recount memories or get medals as the ridiculous trend in the president’s office, ” – said Rama.

“On the other hand, of course this is not about any differential treatment as long as these people belong to this category, with personalities among the elderly in the hall, to continue the process throughout the day. We will not continue with other age groups unless this category is totally inoculated,” said Rama.

Prime Minister Edi Rama and the head of the Infectious Diseases Hospital Najada Çomo were the first received the second jab of the vaccine.

In a statement to the media after the vaccination, Prime Minister Rama stressed that, “Yesterday evening, we received confirmation from Pfizer that in mid-February there will be delivered 10 thousand doses and within February will be brought over 30 thousand more doses, according to the commitment last night.”

“The important thing is that we have entered into the implementation of the contract with Pfizer. Yesterday, there were delivered the doses that paved the way. Of course, if we look at the numbers closely and if we do not see the whole panorama and do not see the whole plan then they definitely look very small”, – said Rama.

But, Rama continued, in fact we should not forget that in the region we are the only country together with Serbia that has entered into the implementation of the contract and has started vaccination for doctors and nurses. Secondly, let us not forget that the situation of vaccination and the supply of vaccines throughout Europe is extremely chaotic.

Prime Minister Rama said that, “We are ready to vaccinate all doctors and nurses and to start with those who are at the most advanced age who are category A of citizens to start vaccination. We have every reason to be optimistic that our plan to enter intensive vaccination for citizens will work and the first scenario to carry out vaccination in 14 months is a completely possible scenario.”

Further, Prime Minister Rama said that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has continued with the organization, training and the other two vaccination centers in Vlora and Shkodra are ready to be installed.

“Vaccination will be made all over the territory, as we cannot gather people at some points, but we will offer this service near the settlement,” Rama added.

The head of government said that, “No one is obliged to get the vaccine, it is free of charge. We advise you all not to hesitate to get the vaccine. The reason why I am here and I am taking the second dose is just to convey this message.”

“I will also make the antibody analysis available to you to see if it has had or not had an effect, whether it was physiological water from the analysts’ head streams or whether it was Pfizer. Then, patience is needed, we are working”, – said Rama./k.s /p.s./
