In a video published by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, prof. Bino talks about the myths and facts about COVID-19 infection.

Regarding the myth that took hold among the unvaccinated “since I have not been infected so far, I am immune to COVID-19,” prof. Bino states that “this impression is misleading because any person can be infected with COVID. “These people may have been infected, but asymptomatically, and they can be infected with new variants of the virus, which are highly contagious.”

“By not being vaccinated, the infected can show severe forms of the disease, can be hospitalized and, unfortunately, can die. “This is the reason why every person who has had Covid or not should be vaccinated or why any person who has or not contact with a person with Covid should be vaccinated,” – said Bino.

Since the launch of the “Albania smiles” vaccine rollout, 1,396,390 vaccinations have been delivered throughout the country. So far, 1,899,172 anticovid vaccines have arrived in our country. 594,050 citizens have been fully vaccinated with both doses of the vaccine.

August and September will be open vaccination month for all age groups +18 years, to get the vaccine anywhere in health centers or in centralized vaccination points by presenting the ID card.
For the disabled, mobile vaccination units will be everywhere in the territory to enable immunization against COVID-19 without any restrictions./k.s/j.p/sm/
