TIRANA, May 27/ATA/ At the “Koço Gliozheni” maternity home, there has been born the second baby through the in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Prime Minister Edi Rama wrote in a post in the social media wishing a long life to the baby who was born after 20 years of expectation.

“May Bekim have a long life, may he be blessed, as his name is, through the IVF procedure at the “Koço Gliozheni” maternity home, where it is offered free of charge”, wrote Rama.

The baby has benefited from the baby bonus offered by the government.

PM Rama said that, “The government’s support goes on for young families who are happy with children: 40,000 lekë for the first child; 80,000 lekë for the second child and 120,000 lekë for the third child and so on”.

The doctor who treated the patient said that, “Lumturia has been married for 20 years; she has had two in vitro fertilizations in private service and as luck would have it, she came to our maternity hospital”.

Lumturia thanked the medical staff for making her dream come true.

For the first time, the public health system is offering free of charge in vitro fertilization services to couples facing infertility, through the Reproductive Medicine Associates (RMA) Center at the “Koço Gliozheni” Maternity Hospital.

The fertility package aims to support young couples through free in Vitro Fertilization services. /k.s/r.e/a.f/p.s./
