Prime Minister Edi Rama on Wednesday shared footage from the event, describing it as a return to the magic of the Sanremo Festival and a journey through the city’s musical memories.

Six young singers performed for around 90 minutes, interpreting some of the best-known songs from the Italian repertoire, including “Questo piccolo grande amore”, “Insieme”, “24 mila baci” and “La solitudine”.

The audience joined the performers throughout the evening, singing along to the familiar songs.

Italian music, particularly songs associated with Sanremo, has a strong connection with the cultural memories of many Durrës residents.

The concert brought together the nostalgia of previous generations and performances by young artists, creating an evening dedicated to Italian music and its enduring connection with Albanian audiences.

The event was held as part of Durrës’ cultural and tourism programme, offering residents and visitors another evening of entertainment in the city’s public spaces.
