TIRANA, July  26  /ATA/ – By I.Vata/ The Independent Qualification Commission on Tuesday confirmed in office the Tirana prosecutor Shpëtim Garunja.

The Independent Qualification Commission announced that after reviewing the documentation and holding the hearing decided on Tuesday to confirm in office the subject of re-evaluation, Shpëtim Garunja, prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court.

The decision reasoned in writing by the trial panel chaired by Roland Ilia, Etleda Çiftja rapporteur and Pamela Qirko member will be notified to the subject of the re-evaluation, the Public Commissioner and the international observers within 30 days.

This decision can be appealed to the Special Appeals College by the subject of reevaluation and/or the Public Commissioner 15 days from the date of notification of the Commission’s decision. The appeal is filed with the Independent Qualification Commission.

Shpëtim Garunja started his career in the justice system in 1988 and worked as a prosecutor in Lezha and Kurbin. Since 2010, he has been working at the Tirana District Prosecutor’s Office. /j.p/sm/
