TIRANA, Sept 29 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Sunday images showing a significant number of beachgoers splashing in the waters of stunning beaches along Albania’s Ionian Sea coast during late September.

“Ionian Sea, September 29,” PM Rama wrote as he posted a video on the social media.

With the weather still nice and warm, the number of holidaymakers on beaches in the country’s north and south remains significantly high during this year’s extended summer season.

Number of foreign visitors is still high, showing that Albania is becoming a top tourist destination, popular for hospitality, nature and cultural heritage and archaeological sites.

Foreign tourist arrivals to Albania rose around 20% year-on-year to 8.5 million until end of August, up from 7.2 million visitors during the same period of the previous year.
