Italian investors from Veneto Region express interest in Albanian market

TIRANA, April 9 /ATA/ The Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) held a meeting with a delegation of Italian investors from the Veneto Region, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Albanian Manufacturers’ Union, Arben Shkodra.
The delegation was welcomed by Laura Saro, the Executive Director of AIDA.
The meeting focused on the investors’ interest in launching projects in Albania, while also highlighting the investment opportunities the country provides.

AIDA expressed its willingness to provide further support and tailored assistance to each investor.
The aim of this meeting is to enhance economic collaboration between Albania and Italy, particularly through the development of specific investment projects.

Italy remains Albania’s largest trading partner, both in terms of exports and imports.

According to data from the Institute of Statistics, exports of “Made in Albania” goods to Italy in 2024 reached a value of more than 162.799 million lek, while imports amounted to 189.389 million lek.

In 2024, Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in Albania increased by 5.6%, reaching 1.583 mln euros, up from 1.499 mln euros the previous year.
