TIRANA, Nov 14 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku presented on Tuesday to the Parliamentary Committee for Economy and Finance the investment plan for 2024.

Balluku stated that the capital expenditures for 2024 are reckoned at 55.8 billion ALL, of which 27.6 billion ALL are internal financing and the rest are foreign financing.
“11.5 billion ALL will be invested in the water supply and sewage system, while a fund of 3.2 billion ALL is earmarked for the energy sector. A fund of 196 million ALL has been allocated for urban planning,” the minister said.

Balluku announced that by using European Union funds, special attention will be given to programs and projects that have been somewhat dormant in previous years.

“Road transport remains a priority for the government. Investment in this sector will provide maximum support for economic development, in terms of tourism or in terms of industrial and urban development,” she said.
