The Bank of Albania informs that lending from commercial banks to business is increasing, both for short-term needs for operating capital and for investments in machinery, technology, etc.

According to BoA, the upward trend of lending is driven by the increase in the volume of activity and the increase in inflation, but also by the sustained expansion of investments.

Referring to the statistics, during this 5-month period, credit has also increased across the segment of public corporations, by 18% more compared to a year ago.

In this case, lending is mainly related to the needs for electricity import of energy sector companies.
