The Bank of Albania announced that the flow of foreign direct investments in the third quarter reached the value of 344 million euros, an increase of 32% compared to the same period last year.

For the 9- month period of 2022, the value of foreign direct investments reached 984 million euros, this figure is 35% higher compared to the same period a year ago.
The growth of foreign investment is increasingly relying on the reinvested profits of existing enterprises.
Reinvested profits have a clear lead in the structure of foreign investments for the entire 9-month period. In 9 months, companies with foreign shareholders have reinvested profits in the amount of 532 million euros, or as much as 54% of foreign direct investments during this period.
The high weight of reinvested profits is typical especially for extraction industry or financial services sectors, which require continuous flows of new investments to support business growth. /j.p/sm/
