The US embassy in Tirana announced that the group also visited the U.S. Department of Justice, Maryland’s Coordination and Analysis (Fusion) Center, Baltimore Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). “Mutually beneficial dialogues were held on critical issues such as information and intelligence sharing, mutual legal cooperation, public corruption, transnational criminal and drug trafficking organizations, international fugitives, media relations, virtual assets and financial analysis in complex investigations, leadership, crisis negotiation, health and wellness, explosives, and human source development,” the embassy says in a press release.

The program is part of the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) run through the U.S. Department of Justice with funding from the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL).
