TIRANA, April 12 /ATA/ – Leading international newspapers and television networks, namely the Daily Mail and Euronews have recently written stories promoting Albanian tourism, describing the southern Riviera and the Dhermi beach as one of Europe’s best under the radar beach escapes.

Prime Minister Edi Rama took to the social media to share the stories published by the two prestigious media, saying the media writings promote the country’s tourism internationally and further boost confidence for a more successful tourist season than last year.

“Two important stories promoting tourism by Daily Mail and Euronews, with the two focusing on our Dhermi beach this week, further boost confidence that this year’s tourist season will definitely be a more successful than the one last year. However, this also implies extra efforts to fulfill all the expectations to ensure service and cleanliness standards,” PM Rama said.

The British daily tabloid newspaper describes the coastal village of Dhërmi as “the hidden pearl of Europe.”

Two travel bloggers, Scott and Sal, from the United Kingdom, documented their stay in Dhërmi which they called ‘underrated’ and the ‘European Bali’.

“While many European sight-seers are flocking to the tourist-filled beaches of Greece and Italy, others are instead booking a trip to the spectacular town which has been hailed as one of the continent’s best-kept secrets. Adventurers are heading to the dreamy Bali-like hidden gem for its ‘crystal clear’ beaches, jaw-dropping scenery and luxurious bars, hotels and restaurants,” the Daily Mail writes.

On its part, the TV network Euronews promotes Albanian Riviera tourism offer, inviting visitors to explore this hidden pearl of the Mediterranean.

In its article, Euronews depicts Albania as lesser known destination in the European tourism.

However, Albania is to make its mark on Europe’s mainstream tourist trail – which is all the more reason to visit.

“For the best beaches, head to the Albanian Riviera, which runs from Vlorë to Ksamil. Though far from undiscovered, Dhërmi is one of Albania’s longest and most popular beaches. When you tire of the lively bars, you can easily wander off to solitude.

Venture further south to Ksamil where you’ll be rewarded with turquoise waters and three small islands within swimming distance. This piece of paradise is perfect for the adventure seeking travelers,” the Euronews wrote on its article.
