TIRANA, Feb  14  /ATA/ Albania and Montenegro signed the administrative agreement in the field of social insurance in Podgorica, Montenegro .

The Albanian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, Olta Manjani, and included General Director of the Social Insurance Institute, Astrit Hado.

Through this agreement, the Albanian party will benefit some services, such as retirement pension, maternity benefits, family pension, disability pension, etc.

The protection also provides and covers the periods of contributions or equivalent periods, recognized by the laws of each of the two countries.

There are about 2,500 Albanian citizens, mostly seasonal workers in the neighboring country and who are expected to benefit from this agreement, which, after going through all the technical processes, will require ratification by the respective parliaments.

The Institute of Social Security is intensifying its work to increase the number of bilateral agreements that guarantee the protection of the rights of Albanian citizens.
