According to the latest INSTAT report, Albania’s retail net sales increased by a real 2.7% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2023, whereas number of employees in this sector rose by 2.7 %.

Total hotel sales in volume edged up by 2.7 % year-on-year in the first quarter and number of employees increased by 4.4 % compared with the same period of the previous year.

According to INSTAT, the wage fund for workers in the country’s hospitality and leisure sector rose 14.1 % in first quarter.

Hotels quarterly indicators, in the first quarter 2023, show a volume index increase by1 % compared with the first quarter 2022. The number of employees’ index increased by 0.2 % compared with the first quarter 2022.  Wages index increased by 12.5 % compared with the first quarter 2022.

INSTAT data show that net sales of the architectural and engineering activities rose 2.6 % year-on-year in the first quarter, number of employees increased by 6.8 %, whereas wage fund increased by 19.3 %.
