INSTAT published the Consumer Price Index today. INSTAT data show that the average annual price increase in February was 1.1% from 1.2% in February 2020.
Monthly change of consumer price index in February 2021, compared to January 2021 is 1.1%

According to INSTAT, compared to February 2020, the largest increase of prices is observed in the group “food and non-alcoholic beverages” by 3.2%, followed by the groups “furniture, home appliances and home maintenance” by 2.2%, “alcoholic beverages and tobacco” by 1.4%, “health” by 1.1%, “hotels, cafes and restaurants” by 1%, “communication” by 0.7%, and “entertainment and culture” by 0.4%.
On the other hand, the prices of the “transport” group decreased by 3.9%, followed by the “apparel and footwear” group by 0.6%.
Within the food group, the prices of the subgroup “oils and fats” increased by 5.1%, followed by the subgroups “fruit” by 4.6%, “fish” by 3.8%, “milk, cheese and eggs” by 3.6%, “meat” by 1.6%, “sugar, jam, honey, chocolate, and cakes” by 1.4%, etc.
