TIRANA  July 10 /ATA/ Inflation, which measures the annual change in the price of goods, continues to fall for the seventh month in a row, starting from November 2022.

The Institute of Statistics published on Monday the Consumer Price Index, according to which the annual change in the consumer price index in June 2023 is 4.5%, a year ago this change was 7.4%. The monthly change of the consumer price index in June 2023, compared to May 2023, is -0.3%.

Compared to the month of June 2022, the largest increase in prices is observed in the groups “food and non-alcoholic beverages” and “entertainment and culture” with 10.3% each, followed by the groups “furniture, home appliances and home maintenance” with 6.2%, ” hotels, cafes and restaurants” with 4.8%, “clothing and shoes” with 4.4%, “various goods and services” with 4%, “alcoholic beverages and tobacco” with 3.7%, “educational service” with 2.2%, “rent , water, fuel and energy” with 2.1%, “communication” with 1.4% and “health” with 1.2%.

While the prices of the “transport” group decreased by 16.2%.
