The import for the basic goods of the manufacturing industries is related to the expansion of the activity of these sectors and the growing interest of the enterprise in the use of modern technologies that improve the quality of production.

Referring to INSTAT data, Italy, China and Germany are the main partners with the largest volume of imports of this category.
A total of 9.3 billion ALL of machinery, equipment and spare parts were imported from Italy during the 3-month period.
7.7 billion ALL of machinery, equipment and spare parts were imported from China. While 7.9 billion ALL of machinery, equipment and spare parts were imported from Germany.

The influx of FDI in Albania has maintained a positive upward trend over the years. Despite the situation created due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, Albania is still enticing to foreign investors.

Foreign direct investments in 2022 have increased by 29% compared to 2019, reaching 1.37 billion euros.
