According to Peleshi, the immigrants had lost their way and then found themselves trapped by flames.

“The fire brigade and the Albanian medical team have rescued 9 immigrants from Iraq who had lost their way, and were trapped by wildfires in Alexandroupoli, Greece,” Peleshi said.

“The Albanian team has given the first medical aid and food to immigrants. Their health condition was problematic because due to the lack of food and drinking water, they had consumed polluted water,” concluded Peleshi.
