TIRANA, April 24 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama stated Wednesday he won’t comment on any individual currently being under investigation on corruption charges.

Asked in a televised interview about the escalating political assaults against Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Prosecution Office (SPAK) launched recently by the Freedom Party leader and ex-President Ilir Meta, the government head said he will not comment on any individual that has an open issue with the justice bodies.

“You are asking me to make a comment. I have no comment of whatsoever on anyone who is being under investigation by SPAK or who feels that SPAK can launch a case against them, because by doing so we would cause a much bigger and more harmful confusion than the one caused by all these individuals who cannot hide their past. I can’t make any comment,” PM Rama said.

“I can only say that Albanian citizens have shown over all these years that they poses an incredible political instinct and clearly understand who is who in this story,” he said.

“SPAK should move forward. SPAK enjoys my and the Socialist Party’s unconditional support,” he stated.
